Three T-Shirts will be provided: One that will match with your “House”, one that will match everyone in the stake, and one from your ward.
This youth camp will NOT have any period dress (e.g., pioneer era, Old Testament style) requirements.
How much will IGNITE cost?
Each youth will be invited to contribute $75 dollars to participate.
Wards may assist with the participation fee when there is a financial need and when multiple youth participating from one family.
How can I prepare to participate in IGNITE?
The IGNITE Journal will help participants prepare for IGNITE by studying and reflecting on the attributes of Jesus Christ.
What are the “Houses” at IGNITE?
“House” is how the youth are organized for activities during the day. Each House includes 8-10 younger youth, 2-4 older youth who are the “Big Brothers and Sisters” of the group, 1 Youth House Leader (typically from the Stake Youth Council who helped plan camp, with a few more youth) and 2 House Helpers (formerly known as Adult House Leaders). The House Helpers serve as mentors for the Big Brothers and Sisters.
Do I need to bring a swimsuit?
No. Some of the activities during the day may include getting wet in the pond or pool and the packing list includes an extra change of clothes in case you need it. However, you will probably dry off naturally before it’s time to rotate. So swimming suits are NOT necessary.
